Gilles Lesage, CEA, AHI, Owner
Gilles has been a Home Inspector since 2004. He was a RHI and active CAHPI member practicing in Manitoba. In 2005, he decided to become a certified energy advisor as the two industries seemed to fit well together. After initial certification, he continued to get certified with New Home construction as well as Multiple Unit Residential Buildings. In 2011, Gilles moved to Kelowna to pursue the same course of business with home inspections and energy efficiency evaluations. This led to more involvement with provincial programs and now BC building code for Energy Efficiency with New Home Construction. Gilles has been instructing and training new prospective home inspectors as well as Energy Advisors since 2013. He is currently an Accredited Home Inspector, Registered Energy Advisor with Level 1Thermal Imaging and HRAI ventilation installation certifications

Scott Hilder, CEA
Scott is trained as a Certified Energy Advisor and Architectural Technologist. This combination of Design and Building Science knowledge makes him a trusted source of information when designing and building your home!
Scott graduated from SAIT in 2007 and brought his unique skill set and passion for sustainability to the Okanagan shortly after, in 2009. Since then he has been involved with local building officials to help promote and educate the local residential construction industry on the subtleties of energy efficient design using Building Science.
Equipped with the knowledge that 75% of the cost of a home over its lifetime, is lost during the design phase, he takes a hands-on approach working with designers, home owners and builders to demystify the notion that “green building” is unaffordable.
Scott also realizes the irony in the lack of efficiency using the word, Scott!

I would like to take a moment to say how pleased I was with my audit. Ryan was extremely personable and knowledgeable. He was thorough in his explanations of my issues with the house and what government grants were available to me as the homeowner. Ryan made the audit very easy for me to understand and I now know where my energy consumption can be reduced. Thank you for a great job, I will recommend your organization to anyone who may ask.
Ron – Kelowna, British Columbia,
The staff at Total Home were so helpful every step of the way and it was quite an eye opening experience to have an advisor show me where I can upgrade my old home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their home!
Maurice – Lloydminster, Saskatchewan,
As an owner of an older house, utilizing the ecoENERGY Retrofit Program was one of the wisest decisions we have made. We were amazed to learn how to improve our home comfort while saving money. The energy advisor was very thorough, and able to answer all of our questions.
